Our Professional Year Program is highly sought after by international students who have graduated from an Australian university. The program is designed to prepare you for working in Australia by offering you hands-on, practical work experience and professional workplace training.  This program also qualifies students for 10 migration points towards permanent residency.

A range of courses

There are three courses to choose from, depending on the industry you want to specialise in:

• Skilled Migration Internship Program — Accounting (SMIPA)
• Australian Computer Society (ACS) Professional Year Program
• Engineers Australia Professional Year in Engineering

All the training you need

The program runs for 44 weeks and includes 26 weeks of in-class theoretical training and a 12 week practical internship with a host company.

A flexible approach

The program is specially designed to fit in with your other commitments, such as study or work. Classes are held in our centrally located city campuses and run from 6pm – 9pm, twice a week.

How you will benefit from the course

On completion of the program you will receive a Professional Year Certificate, a nationally accredited Certificate III in Business, job placement assistance from Navitas and the practical and professional skills you need to start a successful career.

Who is it for?

To qualify, you must have:

• completed an undergraduate or postgraduate award in Australia in a relevant field of study
• applied for or hold the 485 Skilled Graduate Visa (SGV)
• evidence of a minimum IELTS 6.0 in all bands
• a valid skills assessment from the relevant professional body
